Pacific Crest Trail - Resupply strategy Part 2
This is part 2 of my resupply guide for the PCT. We are about to finish the state of California and head into Oregon and Washington.

Pacific Crest Trail - Resupply strategy Part 1
I think the most overwhelming thing, other than walking for 5 months non-stop, is the question of what do I eat, and where do I get food? Especially if this is your first time in the US it can be really overwhelming. How many days should we carry food? How much food do we need? How do I get into town? Should I send packages? There are so many questions and so many ways of doing this.

New Zealand
When I left for New Zealand, I had no idea what to expect. I wanted to fly over from Australia because it was cheaper than flying home first and then coming back, and it was a new country to visit. I saw all the Lord of the Rings movies and heard stories about how they rarely used CGI and instead filmed in live locations around the country. I could not believe it and wanted to see for myself if the rumors were true. Because in all honesty, which country could be this stunning? Oh, little old...

Navigation - Map and Compass - Beginner
Getting lost in a big city is not as bad as getting lost in nature. At least in a city, we can always ask for help. But who do we ask when we are out and about and not a single person can be seen for miles and miles? We can ask our map, compass and nature around us. But how? Do you want to learn how to use a compass. This blog is for you.

The first time wildcamping
The first time wild camping can be scary, especially when you have supportive friends who make you watch horror movies right before or listening to true-crime podcasts is your favorite pastime. Camping in the wild and being in nature is not only a way to clear the mind, to ground yourself, to step away from the daily stress but also a way to find your strength, your power and improve your skills and confidence.

TMB Day 6,7 & 8 Courmayeur - La Fouly
While I was contemplating my life decisions, the clouds that were looming over us before started getting bigger and bigger, colliding with other chain of clouds in the area and forming a big storm front. I watched with unease how they got darker and darker. My kept hearing my dads voice in the back of my mind: "Don´t be on top of a mountain during a thunderstorm."

Packing for beginners
I have not always been the lightweight hiker I am now. I used to carry way too much and way too heavy. But I was happy carrying my own weight. I learned some really important lessons along the way, I would love to share with you.

Sweden: Rigeleje Strand Camping > Landön
I finally felt the need to eat, snack and fill my tummy. Today's treat was a yellow pepper, Alicia carried out. I usually don't like green or yellow peppers, but if you don't see a lot of fruits or vegetables, suddenly the things you normally don't eat turn into the most delicious foods in the world.

Sweden: Verkeåns > Rigeleje Strand Camping
We did feel like we were trespassing while following a path across a property, through the driveway and past their garden but we knew if the car got in, we can get out. I do not think this would have been an option in America but thankfully Sweden is very kind towards lost looking bikers. And after a few minutes of feeling extremely guilty, we made it back to the official road we wanted to be on from the start.

Sweden: Bokerastens > Verkeåns
In future reference the experience of cycling this part of Sweden will only be known as "the day"! When you look up pushing and reaching your limit in the dictionary, this day shows up. There are not many journal entries from that day, the only thing I have, is the headline and then the note is blank. That´s how bad it was. But let´s start at the beginning.
